My family immigrated to the U.S. from Vietnam when I was eight years old. My decision to go into the mental health field stems from my own immigration experiences and bicultural identity. I am interested in helping others navigate the transitions and challenges in their lives.
One of my areas of interests is in the area of Asian American psychology, particularly in the areas of acculturation stress and bicultural identity. I enjoy in working with adult children from immigrant families as there are sometimes cultural and generational differences between parents and children that could negatively impact one's mental health.
